To mark their collective 50th birthdays, Gerri and Chris Flanagan from Kentucky had always planned to coincide their Arkonik handover with an epic adventure. Chris, an avid explorer had long since mapped a route that would take them both across Europe and up into the Northern Hemisphere.

The wait is finally over and the order book is officially open. Designed by former Bugatti Designer Etienne Salomé, this is his take on the classic Land Rover ‘Beach Cruiser’. For Etienne, less is more and his design cues complement the classic V8 and manual transmission perfectly.

At the heart of every restoration is the engine. For such a special build it simply had to be a V8. Equally, it couldn’t just be a ‘standard’ V8. Ohh no, for this particular application we bored the original engine out to 3.9L.
